OK.. just got off the phone with the insurance company for the zillionth time :P. When I was first going over everything with her she asked me if my computers were for business since I work as a programmer. My home computers are not so I told her no. She never asked about my musical equipment. I called back to ask her if my equipment was covered if I was playing a gig or just in my house. Of course the first thing she asked was if I made money off of them. Since my equipment is business the price went up 10 bucks a year. No big deal. Now my contents insurance is a $500.00 deductible. I took out a 5k policy on all my musical equipment. Total for the 5k policy is like 56 dollars a year with NO deductible! Well worth looking into if you don't already have it!
I am glad this thread helped some people. I know this experience has definetly opened my eyes :P
