Hi all;

Ok.  My 1st guitar is a Squire Telecaster Slimline.

I like it so far.

But omg is it Bright! High E string is very high pitched.

I've played around with the guitar and amp.  I can tone it down a bit.

Right now as a very new beginner player.  It's fine.

But at some point I'm wondering if a thicker guage of strings would help.

I also have learned that strings help with tone as well.

My hope is to move towards blues. Also some country.

Any suggestions on what brand, guage and type of strings?
