Here's my newest attempt at recording something. This is my interpretation of Cat Stevens’ “Father and Son”. "Tea for the Tillerman" was one of my favorite albums growing up.


I stripped the guitars and vocals from an original recording leaving the bass and drums as a backing track. I recorded the rhythm with my Yamaha FGX-412C-MAB through a Samson Technologies Q2U USB/XLR Dynamic Microphone. The lead was recorded with my Fender Special Edition Telecaster FMT HH connected via my Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 interface and Garage Band. No additional effects were applied to the Yamaha and the Telecaster just used the Clean Guitar, Amazing Tweed amp in Garage Band. A little compression was added to my vocals.
