Thankx for the help thus far. I do play Death Metal and I understand the necessity to not have the gain cranked up. I have played in a Death Metal band and have played many gigs. I'm just not used to the new equipment that I have now. (I moved out of state, and couldn't bring all my guitar equipment, so on a budget I bought more here) My main thing is just finding the best sound possible out of what I have now. I like cranking the volume up in my room, but when I do, the tone seems to get sloppy. As in, you can't clearly hear all the notes (but not because of the distortion level, which usually doesn't go over 5). It's more like my highs aren't comming out enough, but that seems to make me lose my chunkiness. That get's really aggravating as I'm sure you would all know.

Again, I appreciate all the help, and would welcome more advice.
