Those are still broken chordes. :)
You can also use box arpeggio patterns, instead of just holding a chord and picking or even sweeping. You have your scale pattern, and just play whatever degrees you need to. It makes your guitar sound kind of like a piano, because the arpeggiated notes are all in the same octave. Another cool thing is they are transposable, just like the chord fingering you would otherwise use.
