Yer the timing requires anticipation for sure. Drummers do the anicipating for us with the count in or (about to) end signal. Looper requires us to do it ourselves and take into account the motor reflex lead required to action the switch.

I found that harder when I had to perform that conscously in the early days. I still have to pay attention, but taking into account the lead reflex is now pretty much instinctive. I don't get the timing right 100% of the time, especially if I haven't used it for a while (currency), but sufficiently so that it's a useful tool and enjoyable rather than a source of frustration. [br][br]One the things I found frustrating with the mini type looper especially when I first had it was I'd find my attention consciously diverted to thinking about which identifying function I wanted was associated with which light status and toggle sequence whereas the Loop Core's (RC-3 style pedal) ergonomics are far more intuitive.
