It's a personal preference, but having used both D'addarios and Ernie Ball stings, I strongly prefer the Ernie Ball regular slinkys. The D'addario bass strings have a slightly rough feel to them that I don't like.

I play on average up to 10 hours a week and the strings last me a month. That's with cleaning them after each time I play. I sweat a lot, so this is a long time for strings to last for me.
