I agree. I've been playing for a fairly long time- even took some lessons on and off. After only a week, I feel like I am starting to fill in the blanks musically. I am paying much more attention to time signatures, counting, chordal variations, etc. I went pretty far on my own but these instructors so far seem excellent. I also like being able to rewind sections of their videos- over and over! The additional support materials are also top notch. I probably shoud have joined sooner. I joined up for a year so it was a great deal.

Don't get me wrong, it's hard to beat having an in person Berklee instructor (like I had.) They can really organize your lessons, work on pieces over time, watch your mechanics (finger position, wrist position, posture, etc.) and suggest improvements in real time, but this is still great...and can in many ways offer far more than any one person could. Ideally, it would nice to use this as a compliment to in person lessons or vise versa. For me, more than just the great lessons, each one has succeeded in sparking new questions and I am just getting started. What I don't find directly in one lesson, I can easily research...that said, I haven't had to research much. The lessons are very thorough and I am looking forward to learning more and making solid improvement over the next year and beyond! Also, a special shout-out to Chris S. He answered a question I had with a lot iof detail and almost immediately- that support alone makes joining worth it!
