I would almost guarantee that this has been brought up in the past forums so apologies if it old ground.

I think It would be great to be able to send instructors personal messages. Normal schools throughout the world cater for students to converse with teachers in private.

Maybe there could be a central email address to pass through management and then they decide if it warrants being passing on to the teachers, that would then sift out the trolls, so then teacher and student could converse in private. Private messaging like. The downside would be potential extra work load for teacher.

Just thinking out loud.
