The Audio Technicas were on my short list. But I didn't like the looks of those swivel speakers, I would think it would get annoying having to straighten them out every time you put them on.

I wound up getting the Beyerdynamic DT-770s about a week ago. I got them in 80 ohm. My amp has plenty of juice to power them, same with my computer sound card. They can even run off my phone although I got them primarly to run off my practice amp.

I like them. They have a nice balanced sound, great clarity/detail, and are very comfortable. I LOVE the looks of them too, like they came out of the 1970's.
