My only recommendation is to buy headphones that are very comfortable.

I use a pair of open-back AKG Q701's that are light and poofy. But they're pretty expensive.

(A bit of sound also leaks from them since they're open-back, but that's the type of headphones they are.)

I find other headphones get uncomfortable on my head and ears after a while.

I too am looking for some quality headphones in closed back. It's tough because stores don't carry any selection. And the reviews are all geared towards end listeners or DJ's.

I'm leaning towards the Beyerdynamic DT 770 PRO. The reviews are great, and they're supposed to be the most comfortable headphones ever:

They come in 32, 80, and 250 ohm versions. The 32 is for mobile devices, the 250 require a headphone amp, and the 80 ohm are an "all rounder". Well, my amp puts out loud volume through the headphone jack (I'm currently using some cheap old sony 24 ohm headphones). I never turn the volume past 1/4 with the gain at the middle.

I'm thinking the 80 ohm because I can crank my amp up a little more, and still be able to hear my aux-in from my desktop pc or phone. Which ohm would you go with to get the best sound out of my Orange amp headphone output?

Don't mean to hijack the thread, but the OP might want to consider these headphones too.
