The classic question of Single Coil or Humbucker. If you are a metal guy, you might want the humbucker option to get that phat souund. But single coils provide clarity, and you can get super huge and beefy with single coil anyway. I would suggest looking into your favorite band's guitarists and what kind of guitar they use. There will always be an affordable version of any kind of high end guitar. Good luck!
