I think if you re-read his post, he says " I only had an 11 string instead of a 9 for the E string", sounds like he would have used an .009 if he would have had one, my point is that no matter what gauge set you want to use, stick with the same thing every time or you'll constantly be setting up your vibrato, truss rod, bridge height, pick-up height and blah, blah, blah, etc, etc..........
