long time noodler, first time motivated to practice and learn from day 1.

like many, I am 50 and have played acoustic guitar, but never getting beyond the third fret and never. Putting in the practice...however I am giving myself an electric guitar for Christmas and looked at all the courses out there and chose this one.

I am very excited given what appears to be the depth and encouragement given by the site.

although I know open chords to some degree, I am starting lesson 1 day 1....

I have posted a query in guitar basics, but I am very happy to know that there others like me, Al Franken (just kidding- old SNL bit), a 50 guy who still listens to punk and will slam to the Menzingers that said, I want to play guitar....
