Also in my 50s and determined to learn to play the guitar. I agree 100% with what the others have said. For quite a while I was getting pretty frustrated with how long it is taking me or how slowly I am improving. Eventually I have accepted that for me this is going to be a slow journey. My practice habits are not consistent enough and there are a lot of things going on in my life that take away some of the time and energy I would like to devote to practice. Remind yourself that this is not a timed event and there is no deadline unless you set one for yourself. [br][br]
