I personaly would never shred in a song of my band, cuz we don't play that kind of music but still I spend some time scratching over the chromatics.
And I really got inspired by you guys here because I felt somewhat intimidated when some of you said that he could play 16ths in 240 bpm and I was only around 150. Now I reached the comfortable 200 bpm, it's quite sloppy but I don't think I would go for more.
