Those style courses are going to introduce new ideas, but they also revisit some of the basics. They tend to start out pretty simple to get you oriented towards the particular style (acoustic, country, blues). They do get to be more intermediate as they progress. But there is some overlap with fundamentals to be sure you're ready.

Don't be afraid to open a style course and watch a few!
