Sure Carl. At 2:15-2:19 I play a 'D whole tone scale' over the D7 chord, which adds nice 'outside' tones including the 'b5' and '#5'. This gives the phrase a jazzy feel. I also play a 'dimininshed arpeggio' over the D7 chord at 0:41-0:43 that includes the 'b9' of D for a different type of jazzy 'outside' sound.
