recently bought a guitar about 8 weeks back, having tried a few free online/youtube videos i give this site a go, even though i dont practice every day(3 or 4 days a week) i have made more progres in the last few weeks as a beginner, what i like to do is watch each lesson before i even pick up the guitar and then when i understand what the lesson entails i watch the lesson again and follow along with the guitar in hand after that i would spend 20 minutes or so on my own practing what i've just learnt. hope this suggestion helps
