Hi Jason,

Welcome. I was where you`re at now about 4 months ago. Some things I`ve found that were helpful along the way:

1) Start in GF 1 if you haven`t already. Lisa`s lessons are great.

2) Find a nice quiet place free of distractions where you can practice. A little bit every day is better than 1 long session a week.

3) While it`s good to set goals, don`t put undue pressure on yourself to reach a certain point by a certain date. Everyone learns differently and some lessons you`ll whiz through while others may take days or even weeks to master. Just keep at it.

4) Enjoy the journey and know that every hour you practice will put you an hour closer to becoming a better guitar player.

Good luck !
