I like most zoom products. Everyone has their own taste in equipment. It gives me my own unique sound. I recommend buying some kind of EQ with it, or use the EQ that's on it. Also consider buying a noisegate, because it tends to be noisy creating feedback. The 505 has really good delay, chorusing, flanging, and various distortion channels including metal, rhythm, fuzz, and blues. Just try it out before you make a decision.
