Hi

I am 58 and just recently started learning guitar on the guitatricks course and am loving it. I am busy with the grid style major scales in GF2. Lisa says to experiment with our own melody patterns over the major scale but when i try my patterns sound like gibberish.

Are there any tips or tricks I can use to make my melodies more musical. Currently its sounds like pots and pans.
