corey, I will add a redundant "yes". A lot of great blues songs were recorded with an acoustic. And probably an argument can be made that it all started with an acoustic. If one considers it all came from the Mississippi Delta!

A couple things may be slightly easier with an electric such as bending and vibrato. But I think you'll be fine with the acoustic.

I have to consider myself primarily an electric guy. I love electric blues/blues rock. I've got a handful of electrics and one acoustic. My acoustic will set alone for weeks. I don't know why, and you certaily don't care, but for the last couple months all I want to pick up is my acoustic! I can't explain it!
