On that premise, [u]start at the beginning[/u]. Fundamentals. For F1 & F2, whether your instrument is electric or acoustic is immaterial other than ease of fretting.

Your interest may be Rock, but you need to learn the basics first. Like mathematics. If you don't know the laws of arithmetic, you can forget even trying to learn calculus, mechanics or trig.
