We advise you to move along to the next lesson when you feel comfortable. We don't expect you to be perfect in every lesson, but if you feel comfortable enough to play the specific chord or technique, then it's totally okay to move onto the next one.

A good rule of thumb is to continue to have fun! I know that's cheesy but it's true. Learning guitar is about playing music and having fun. You do not want to make it feel like work.

Basically, only you know when to move on, and it's probably sooner than you think!
