Someone said that there are two sides in the modelling and tube amp debate and it seems that those who feel strongest likely have the least experience. I can only say many professionals will use modeling amps to experiment. I like fender amps so I have a fender modeling amp and I can get a digital sense of the unique variety of fender amps, and a pretty darn good copy of Marshall, Vox ect, ect. add pedals pre amp, post amp where ever I might want. You don't really get to easily do that with a tube amp without a serious amount of cables and pedals. Once you dial in that perfect tone, then go out and buy that amp and those pedals and set it up like you did in your modeler....
