Hi this might be a strange question say but

I start a melody down at the 12th fret and then I’m going to a chord at the 3 fret and I want to make a smooth transition so that it doesn’t have a gap between the melody lick and chord what are some famous transitions or any lesson online guitar tricks site that can work with that idea
