Any advise on the following.

I am new and working through fundamentals 1 .

I have progressed to learning the song Cross the line which requires chord changes between Am and Em . My questions are as you are strumming what is the best way to keep count of what messure you are up to . I have printed the notation and have a music stand but finding I am looking at the notation counting the measures as I go reading them as I go to know where I am up to but is that the norm and what happens when you need to change pages to see the next measure obviously you dont want to be pausing to turn a page ... any ideas
