[p]No offense, but "on and off a few years" as a reference datum is about as meaningful as referring to 'a piece' of string defining its length.[br][br]IME Guitar Tricks is primarily targeted at the beginner through intermediate, and perhaps advanced (amateur) player. For those of us fitting into either of those first two categories wanting structured tuition especially, it's invaluable. Depending upon how skilled you are and where you actually are on your journey, YMMV.

The song lessons here are good, but limited in range. If I were above the skill level described, and my primary focus was only learning new songs, it might not hold the same appeal as to its target demographic. That said, given the free trial you can find out for yourself. If that's not sufficient time for you to eval, an annual sub isn't going to break the bank in the grand scheme of things, so join for a year and see what you get out of it. That'll provide the ultimate answer.
