Hi,[br]My name is Alexandre I'm 37 years old, I live in Portugal and I started playing acoustic guitar when I was 18 (I just realised its almost 20 years and can't believe it :) )[br]I started playing because I had some friends that were playing and I always loved music and guitars in particulary.[br]After about one year learning with my friends basic chords and strumming the hits of radio I once saw a guy playing Recuerdos d'Alhambra and other classic stuff and I decided that I wanted to learn to play like him.[br]So at 19 i went to a tradicional musical school and I started to have lessons of classical guitar and musical theory. My teacher was really, really good and I learned a lot from him in the next 4 years.[br]Eventually I was having some troubles in my life and I was not having the time to keep studying and improving and so I drop the lessons and I had to put the guitar in stand by for awhile. I was still playing and my love for music/guitar was still there but I just didn't have the time to dedicate as I would like and classical guitar can be really demanding.[br]So I realized that I would never be as good as I wanted and my journey to be a virtuoso of classical guitar was over.[br]Since there I been playing for myself as a hobby and ocasionaly I join some friends to play and sing some songs but there was some periods that I was almost not playing and my technique is now much worst than it used to be. [br]Actually in the last 10 years I almost didn't play the classical reportoir and so I can't even play most of the stuff that I used to play. [br]Nowadays I use my classical guitar just to enjoy some free time playing songs that I like to sing along.[br]Since I found guitar tricks my desire to learn again and improve is immeasurable and I been really enjoying the Anders blues course.[br]Altough my early love for classical guitar I also love blues, rock and even some country and so I intend to learn from all courses from the core learning system.[br]I'm really excited in being here and I really hope I can improve and become a great overall guitar player.[br]I will need some help in finding and deciding wich eletric guitar to buy because I only have my old nylon strings Ramirez and also a very old no brand acoustic guitar and I definitely need to have an eletric guitar. But that is theme for another thread... :)[br][br]Cheers,[br]Alex[br][br]
