[p]I watched the play along & at about :27 you can see the right hand strumming pattern pretty clearly. It looks like he uses 2 downstrokes on the first occurance of each chord, then switches to alternate strums (2 or 3) for the 1/16th notes in between.

So. down, down, up-down-up, then down, down on the D chord. Then two quick down-up to get to the E chord.

It helps if you use the speed control & slow it down to 0.5 speed.

I'm not sure how this lines up against the Trogg's version. I remember that as being pretty loose! And as long as you can get the chords to happen in time with the other instruments, I think anyway you can make it happen is fine!
