What are your preferred strumming patterns for the intro, chorus and verse?

For example, as I look at the sheet music for the intro, after the prebend, in the next measure I see two quarter notes followed by a semiquaver rest, 1/16 note and three 1/8 notes. As I listen to the Trogg's play, I'm not sure they are playing this way.
