Hi all, I'm new to the forum, but I've been using this for a while now and it has made learning much easier for me. I started playing guitar as a sophmore in high school when I asked my dad for for a guitar for Christmas. He said wait a day so he knew I was certain that I really wanted to do this. Unbeknownst to me, he had an original, still in its soft shell case, 1974 Ibanez T-300 acoustic guitar in the basement. It's basically a Martin copy. Go figure! My guitar stint my sophmore didn't last very long, since I was discouraged by finger tip pains and I had little to no music experience. Also, the strings hadn't been changed since '74 and I was too lazy to change them. It still sounded really good though and I haven't found an acoustic that has a better tone than my own, even with the strings it was bought new with! All I managed to learn was People Are Strange, by The Doors. I resumed playing my sophmore year in college when I decided to pick up an extra credit in order to live in better housing. I was one credit away. I took a classical guitar class and got a formal intro to playing and I haven't stopped playing since. I'd classify myself as an intermediate player who learns things very quickly.
