These folks produce the most secure guitar straps I've ever seen, http://lockitstraps.com/ The straps are available at online music stores as well as Amazon and EBay.
Beyond being super secure, the straps are detached easily. Still, in the several years I have used one on my Gibson electric it has never come loose on its own.
But I agree with those above... IMO, one should never carry a guitar by its strap and should always use a guitar case, for both transport and storage. If my guitars aen't soon to be in my hand they are in their case. Always.
