I have recently shifted from acoustic (nylon) guitar to electric and from fingerstyle to pick. One of the great difficulties I'm having is to pick a group of strings without making unwanted strings sound. Also, I sometimes feel it awkward to pick during scales and moving from a lower string to a higher one (e.g. D-string to A-string).
I have set the string's height at bridge in the same manner as in classical guitar, forming a straight line. But fretboards are different, flat in classical (nylon) and angled in steel strings guitars.
My question is: Will it be easier to play if I set the strings height at bridge to follow the profile of fretboard (i.e.: 1st AND 6th strings lower than 4th) ?
