What is your current skill level? Are you are already working through GF 1?

It's important to keep your theory learning & your technique learning at roughly the same level. With that in mind, the GT courses contain the theory you need to know, when you need to know it.

The circle of fifths is a valuable musical concept, but if you are just starting out, struggling to fret notes & stay in time, then of what use is it? What can you do with it? It's a fairly high level concept that is best learned, practiced & applied after the fundamentals courses.

Lisa's GF courses do cover chord theory & how scales are harmonized into chords & chord progressions. And all of those are the basic concepts that form the basis of the circle of fifths.

I don't want to discourage you from learning everything you can! But it's important to make sure you don't use valuable time on something that has no practical benefit. If you are a beginner it's more important to use your time to learn how to play notes, scales, chords, stay in time, etc. Knowing the order of sharps & flats & how the circle of fifths represents harmonic motion doesn't have any benefit until you have developed a good amount of playing skills.

As an analogy, we have to learn to spell words & write complete sentences before we write a whole story or a novel. :) Hope that helps!
