Science only changes when we prove ourselves wrong. Thats fine, think about how long science has actually been a real big practice in human society, not long compared to religion or anything. When you think about when people started actually studying things, its not surprising they got so much wrong.
But science is not about a bunch of theories, its a way of explaining the nature of the universe we live in, just like philosophy.
Think what it would be like if science never changed anyway, we would think the world is flat, that the sun is the center of the universe, still be totally oblivious to the fact that gravity exists, but still not noticing how we dont fly off the planet. Things have to change, thats how they get better. Im sure things like philosophy and religion and mysticism have changed over the years.
And God said, 'Let there be rock!'
