Yes, it was 8 frets (we say cases ir frets in french). And yes, Allan's music is the most difficult thing I have ever tried to play. I have never witnessed anyone that was able to play one of his intros (mostly chords in them, played with a swell and delay setting, that makes them sound like violins). He is a true monster.
