Hello, everybody. It's been long since I asked you guys a question. :D

To keep things short, I'm writing song now, a small project of mine, where I'm both rhythm and lead for simple rock band, nothing fancy nothing major.

My question is when writing a solo: I find myself always referring back to pentatonic scale while writing solos, in other cases major or minor natural scales. Are there any other scales I should use?

Bonus question: do you have any tips for me on writing solos?

I really would appreciate your insight on this.
