I am about 6 weeks in and have completed about 80% of Fundamentals 1. Enjoying myself a great deal practising about one hour a day for four or five days a week (having a daytime job, a family and all that...). Slowly getting better at the chords...

Hi,

Everyone take different time frame to complete their levels. So Its depend on how much you practice.Obvious but true.If you give good time to practice then you will achive your level in very less time. Its also depends on your goal. If you want to be able to play your favorite songs, strum the chords, sing along it will take much less time. you can complete less then a month.

Hi Everyone,[br][br]I started GT on Sept 1st 2018. It took me 6 weeks to complete Fundamentals 1 (mid-October). Then I devoted 9 weeks to songs (made easy) only. A couple of days ago (early Jan 2019) I started Fundamentals 1. I feel that breaking from the lessons and focusing on actual songs was very useful as it allowed to somehow nail down "in real life" what the lessons teach you.

I agree with you. I started on 24 November and am deliberately stuck in chord change strategies. But I started on Real songs like you did and it leap frogged me ahead.

I used to teach scuba diving and I always told students - you may be a lawyer or a doctor, but you need to be comfortable being a beginner. Everyone is different, go with that.
