So glad I found out about Guitartricks.

I started taking guitar lessons from Jerry Davis in the 70's (he was somewhat famous at the time) and continued taking lessons, including guitar classes in high school. I've owned some great acoustic guitars like Martin's and Alvarez's, as well as some amazing electric's including a couple Strat's and a Gibson Les Paul standard. My aunt was an executive for years with the now defunct Sunn Amps, so I always had nice amps. I'm 54 now, and haven't picked up a guitar in years. Recently, hearing some great guitar licks made me realize how much I missed it, and I figured I'd start playing again.

Though I remember a fair amount, I'm starting at the very beginning lesson at Guitartricks. It's been so long I figured I might as well as make sure my basics are solid, and I'm sure I'll be suprised at how much I've forgotten.

Looking forward to re-learning and starting to play again. So far I really like the format here. Back in the day I really enjoyed playing Frampton and the Eagles, but the blues have been my musical passion for quite a few years now. Hoping I can eventually do some of the old standards without sucking too badly.
