Been timing myself too. Can do about 32 G to C to G changes in a minute. Got a spreadsheet. I like spreadsheets

The tempo is not important at your stage right now. Focus on getting the fingers 100% where they should be, 100% of the time. Training a "false" motion into your fingers by trying to speed up will slow you down on the long term. So try to resist the temptation of speeding up vs. sloppy form
