Well it may just be your tone of the amp or the guitar. Mess around with it. Try on your amp (not sure if you have the same as me, but i have an ibanez, but i have a marshall) Bass-4 oclock treble-4 oclock mid(s)-12. Try it if it doesnt work just mess w/it
