Hello, was just gifted my first guitar at the young age of 40 something :) Signed up for guitartricks.com on a recommendation from a friend learning acoustic. I have electric. Have also signed up for, and taken one, in person lesson at a local music store. Went good.

My biggest issue is with my fingers...they're too darn fat, ha ha. I know I have to work on how I 'curl' them and position, but that's been my biggest struggle in the last week of learning.

Looking forward to learning more, and becoming good enough to play for my family, and not have them run away ;)
