My review on Harmony Central is the first one you see here. If you step it back a notch with the path above the title, you get a long list of Yamaha model numbers. I added my SBG 1000 review to the SG 1000 thread because there was no SBG listing at the time. They're the same guitars. Its just that Gibson gave Yamaha some legal flak about the SG name. Check out the reviews on the SG (or SBG) 1000, 2000, and 3000.

Be warned. If you start jones'in' for an old Yamaha, you're going to have to search around for it. And then you'll have to get the current owner to part with it. I wasn't kidding when I wrote that if mine was stolen, I would look to pry it from the thief's trembling fingers as he died! :mad:

A tour of the offerings on E-Bay yielded this lovely cream SBG 3000, current bid: $US799, and this heart-breaking cosmetic damaged sunburst SG 1000, current bid: $US159. So, they are out there...
