I just turned 54 last month and- thanks to Guitar Tricks- I've recently been digging deeper than ever and going ape with my guitars; it's been very encouraging. The others know what they're saying when they advise you to start at the beginning- the tutorials have so many excellent tips woven into them. Sometimes I go back to lessons for reinforcement when something I'm trying to work out jogs an instructional memory. I also recommend viewing tutorials that are advanced in nature, whether or not you have a guitar in your hands, in order to help you decide where you want to take your playing. There will be plenty of hard work along with tons of fun and you'll achieve breakthroughs all along the way, so lean into it and enjoy!

Hello Spartacus 9, you may find it amusing that the license plate on my car reads "Crixus"...
