believe it or not, now is the perfect time to learn (never stop learning).
at a bit advanced age you have the maturity to realize its a
"you get what you put in" disipline .. my advice is start right at point one of
core learning system. (even being able to play some "camp fire" stuff,
(while it awesome to keep you motivated) you wont believe how much
you jumped right past when someone showed you some open country chords..
your in good hands.. i played in high school bands, then me and big brother
did a few years of small club's / bars acoustically.. man we had a blast !!! then about
thirty or so along came my daughter... and once situations changed and i wound up
a single dad, the gig's and Harleys were gone.. but having to be home all the time
with a baby after work, it became a perfect time to workout the acoustic.. and sure i've
had a month or two where i was overwhelmed to play, it has been the constant in my
enjoyment time .. (and fishing with "Baby girl" who's now 17 and a damn good
fingerstyle player) ... welcome back ... enjoy !!! ♪ ♪
