As a previous member of GuitarTricks and also a previous member of Jamplay I also had the pleasure to be a member of both websites. I actually had a forum member of GT ask me about the differences in experience between GT and Jamplay a year ago or so. Since GT is so interested in feedback I am willing to send that same extensive message I send to the GT staff, but I will shortly highlight some points in this post.

But back on topic: To be honest I can really see your point nswiacki, but I assume when reading your post that you are a beginner. As a beginner I would also recommend GuitarTricks since it is more clear and organized, where Jamplay has so many different types of beginner lessons and curricula it can be confusing. One of the things I disliked the most was that some beginner curricula are incomplete and Jamplay suggests finding a teacher that you like and filling up the gaps elsewhere with some other teacher. Although this philosophy can certainly work I find it wrong on so many levels.

Both are extraordinary and great, but to me both have very clear advantages and disadvantages when compared to each other. For example, Jamplay's advanced lessons are much more thorough and in depth and they have a larger amount and wider catalogue when looking at those types of lessons. I could go on and on about this, but both websites are worth every penny.

Edit: GT admin I sent you a forum message with the same extensive answer regarding my experiences using both websites, which I sent to the other forum member. I think you can use it as feedback, since I was quite elaborate in what things GT does better than Jamplay and vice versa. Neither is perfect and GT and Jamplay both have some major flaws. I think there is still room enough for improvement with GT, so I hope you find it useful.
