I'm a new member to Guitar Tricks and am loving the detailed lessons and accompanying notation! I love how Guitar Tricks is inclusive of genres like Metal, Blues, Surf and World etc.

However, in the Artist Studies is there anyone else noting a lack of alternative guitarists like Johnny Marr, John Frusciante, Rowland Howard and Nels Cline? I'd love to get a tutorial into their tone and playing styles.

Also, I'm a big fan of African Highlife music. Much of guitar's richest traditions in my opinion come from Africa where players like Ali Farke Tourre and Djelimady Tounkara are worshipped like Clapton or Hendrix.

What are people's opinions? Would you be interested in learning some less mainstream guitar styles on this site?
