Thank you, I've done a bit of googling since and found lots of info around the g string going out of tune and the nut sticking as you have suggested. I've also found out about big bends nut sauce and have seen many good reviews so I'll get some more out of these strings first and put up with the g string for now then try the nut sauce and new string. Failing that I'll find that guitar tech.
